1. How do you think a thriller should make you feel? (Circle as many as you want)

Tense = 10 In our film, we try to make our audience feel tense by having lots of short


clips to add suspense of what is going to happen next.
Anxious = 7 In our film we thought that not showing the femme fatale's face would build up
anxiety as the audience can empathise more with the vistim as they are clue less
to whom is causing them pain.

2. What sort of events do you think a thriller should include? (Circle as many as you want)

Murders = 14 There is murder in our film, however it is left on a cliff hanger as nothing else is
revealed.

3. Where should a thriller be set? (Circle as many as you want)

Hospital = 8
Park = 6 Some of the outside scenes, were shot next a park the femme fatale is filmed walking
next to it.

Empty House = 10 In our film, we set the inside scenes in the victims house which was empty,
the emphasized her vulnerability.
Street = 7 We also have a variety of shots of femme fatale walking down the street, this is to
build tension and confusion as no one knows where she is going.


4. What kind of characters do you expect to see in a thriller? (Circle as many as you want)

Dumb Blonde = 5
Fragile Person = 7 The victim is shown as being very fragile, especially when she has been
attacked. Also because she has just come home from a night out and is a
vulnerable female.
Criminal = 14 The criminal in our film is a man that the audience will never suspect, but in the part of the film we have filmed it is supposed to look like it was Samantha(the femme fatale).

5. What kind of music/ sounds should be in a thriller? (Circle as many as you want)

Tension Heartbeat = 11 Non - diegetic - We decided to use a heartbeat from when Elle starts getting hurt, right on till her death, and then there will be a sudden stop, as if her heart has stopped. As the pain gets worse the heartbeat will speed up, and then when she dies the sudden stop will be the anti-climax.
Ambulance = 3 Non - diegetic - There is going to be the sound of an ambulance every time the missing poster is shown, to mirror death.
High Pitched Sound = 5
Screaming = 14 This is the diegetic sound of Elle's screams.
Silence = 11
Up beat Music = 1
Calm, gentle Music = 0 Even though no one said they would expect this, we decided may use it for that very reason. We may use it to contrast with the dramatic goings on in the film.


6. What sort of colours should a thriller have in it? (Circle as many as you want)

Black and White = 15 We will have black behind the letters to symbolise that there is a darkness behind the death.
Grey = 3
Red = 12 We decided to have our credits in red, because red symbolises blood, death, and mystery.
Full Colour = 1

21st Century = 17 We have decided that our film is going to be in 2010 modern day, because then our audience can relate to the murder and crimes that go on nowadays. But the voodoo doll idea has come from way in the past, so we are mixing past and present together.

U = 0
15 = 18 A thriller should be 15 or 18 depending on the content, but ours is a 15 because the content in ours is fine for an audience of 15 and above.

9. What is your favourite type of thriller?

Romance = 14
Detective = 13 Our film focuses on the detective side of thrillers. We decided that our thrillers first 2 minuites sets the scene for a detective type story. The whole film is then about what happened to all those missing people.
